Surulere, Mushin, others battle in Lagos Street Soccer quarterfinals

Surulere and Mushin among others will line up to do battle in the quarterfinals of the MTN Lagos Street Soccer Season 5 tournament as the tourney draws to a close. The battle will be on Sunday, September 16 at Campos Mini-Stadium Lagos and will be between male teams of Aiyetoro Street from Surulere, Ago Owu Street, Odi Olowo from Mushin, Awolowo Way Street from Ikeja, F.E.Y.A Street 1 from Amuwo Odofin, Ajao Jimoh Street from Igando Ikotun amongst others. In the female competition, Magbon Alade Street from Ibeju Lekki and Osolu Sea Lion Street from Ojo are among the teams to play. The corporate category will see MTN will playing against All Stars in the finals while Golden Age and Lagos SWAN F.C will battle for third place. This year’s tournament will see the winning team in the male category cart away N5 million in addition to foreign trip to Spain while the runner ups will walk away with N3 million and N2 million in addition to foreign trips to South Africa and Ghana respectively. In the female category, a prize of N1 million has been set aside for the winning team, while the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd runner up get N500,000, N300,000 and N150,000 respectively. Other prizes to be won in the corporate category include a 42" LCD TV for each player in the overall winners team, a 32" LCD TV also for each player in the 2nd place team and a Home Theatre Entertainment System for each of the players in the 3rd place team.
