Warri Wolves sacks Cooreman



.As Sunshine talks tough ahead Al Ahly clash



The management of the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) side Warri Wolves has sacked the club’s Belgian-born coach, Maurice Cooreman.
The former coach of Enyimba and Ocean Boys was handed his sack letter on Sunday by the management after consideration of the poor season the team had in which it barely survived relegation on the last day of the league. Wolves was third on the league table when Cooreman took over.
Cooreman, an experienced coach as far as the NPL is concerned has coached Nigerdock and Gabros FC as well as two clubs already mentioned above.
Impeccable sources revealed that Warri Wolves management has set its sights on former Heartland Dutch coach, Lodewick de cruif. It was also confirmed that Wolves boss, Amaju Pinnick has been in talks with Cruif over taking charge off the Delta-based team.
Our correspondent also gathered that Warri Wolves officials are presently in search of funds to pay up the backlog of debts owed the Belgian tactician.
Also, sources have revealed that Coach Austin Eguavoen may not get the job as Sharks handler because indigenes are happy to stick with the club’s present coach Ere Dokubo to still handle the Port Harcourt team next season.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s representative in the ongoing CAF Champions League, Sunshine Stars of Akure has said it would be highly motivated to beat Egypt’s Al Ahly in the first leg of the semifinal of the tourney on Oct 7 in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
Al Ahly emerged as Sunshine’s opponent after Berekum Chelsea defeated TP Mazembe of Congo DR in Accra on Sunday.
