Team Nigeria contingent to the just concluded London 2012 Paralympics has returned to the country.
The contingent landed at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos this afternoon just as the it began to drizzle and the members were conveyed via buses to the National Stadium, Surulere.
The team won a total of 13 medals that comprised 6 gold medals, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals. Although the team had set an initial target of 15 medals, its total medal haul cannot but delight Nigerian sports officials and the citizenry who were left very sad by the Olympic team to London that returned empty-handed just some weeks back.
