Minister of Sports and Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has dissolved the Board of the Nigeria Academicals Sports Committee (NASCOM).
The minster announced the dissolution in Abuja on Monday. He said the measure is geared towards repositioning the body for greater efficiency in the discovery and nurturing of grassroots talents especially through school sports.
He then thanked members of the previous board, especially the Chairman, Chief Segun Odegbami, for their various contributions and efforts towards achieving the mandate of NASCOM.
In a brief press statement made available to the media on Tuesday, the SA to the minister on media, Julius Ogunro revealed that a new board would be announced soon.
