The Super Eagles will begin camping for
the second leg of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2013 qualifiers against
the Lone Stars of Liberia on Sunday, September 30.
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)
spokesperson, Ademola Olajire gave this hint in a chat on a sports programme
monitored by our correspondent on Monday.
According to Olajire, Coach Stephen Keshi
himself said the local professionals will open the team's preparations two
weeks before the match slated for Saturday, October 13.
Foreign professionals will join the camp
a week before the match, that is on Saturday, October 6.
Although a venue is yet to be officially
named for the team's preparations, it was gathered that the team might camp at
the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar, Cross River State, where the all-important
encounter will take place.
Coach Keshi has also hinted that West
Bromwich Albion striker Peter Odemwingie and Chelsea midfielder, John Mikel Obi
are still in his plans. A source quoted him as saying, "Mikel and Osaze
are still important."
Meanwhile, the Liberians are planning on
a equally early preparations that would include a friendly match. The Teranga
