Although the match against Venezuela was decided upon by the NFF before the team defeated Liberia 6-1 to qualify for the 2013 Nations Cup, it will serve as one of the team’s preparatory matches towards the continental championship slated to kick off in South Africa in January.
The NFF has also confirmed that the Super Eagles would get another international friendly match against the Palancres Negras (Black Panthers) of Angola on a yet to be decided date.
Austin Elumelu, a member of the executive committee of the NFF, noted recently that the Angola friendly could take place once agreements are reached by NFF and the Angolan FA.
