National beach soccer team, Super Sand Eagles on Wednesday defeated
Switzerland 7-6 at the ongoing Beach Soccer Invitational tourney in
Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The deciding goal was produced by Abu Azeez to give the team its first victory of the tourney.
The Eagles had earlier lost 3-6 to Brazil on Tuesday in its first match. Thus, the victory over the Swiss was a highly welcome development.
The eight-nation tournament that began on Tuesday will end on Saturday, November 3.
The countries taking part are Nigeria, Russia, USA, Tahiti, Japan, Switzerland, Brazil and hosts U.A.E.
