Egyptian team Al Ahly will arrive in Nigeria on Thursday, October 4
for the CAF Champions League clash against Sunshine Stars.
The Egyptian team’s contingent is expected to touch
down at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos at about 1pm. The
Egyptians are coming out of a closed camping for the encounter that will be
played at the Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu-Ode.
Sunshine itself has been in closed camping for sometime
in preparation for the same match. The team made it to the semifinals of the Champions
League after Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia was disqualified for violent behaviours
of its fans.
The last match the Nigerian side played was against
Esperance of Tunisia. It lost the match 1-0 in Tunis. But the management is
confident that it would do fine against Al Ahly which has a record of doing
quite well against Nigerian teams.
