When Leicester files out against
Chelsea in the last match of the season today, two of its stars, Jamie Vardy
and Riyahd Mahrez will be wearing special boots designed for them by sportswear
designer, Nike.
According to reports from UK on
Saturday, the boots ‘Vahrez’ is a special pair of boots to commemorate the
brilliant season enjoyed by the Leicester City pair.
The American sportswear giant has
now made two pairs of their customised Nike iD Hypervenom Phantom II... and
dubbed them the ‘Vahrez’.
According to The Sun UK, “Each
player will wear the boots which are half black and half white with the blue
Nike swoosh.

“The customised boots also see
the word ‘Vahrez’ printed on each pair, with an Algerian flag for Mahrez’s pair
and an St George’s Cross for Vardy’s.”
An elated Vardy the boots reflect
the pride he has in this season: “The last game of this season is going to be
an occasion, and I appreciate the understanding I have with Riyad – it’s
something I’m proud of and the boots reflect that.”
Mahrez added: “Jamie and I took
unusual routes to get to here and this helps our partnership – I’m honoured to
wear these boots as symbols of our achievements this season.”
